Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: The fifth edition of the annual Maritime Standard Ship Finance and Trade Conference will be held in Abu Dhabi in November 2019, representing a move to a new and more modern venue.
The one-day conference will be held under the theme “Finding innovative solutions in a changing. Geopolitical and economic environment” and will focus on the major challenges facing the region, with a main goal of developing trade-related infrastructure and services.
Ship Finance conference, which will be held at Sofitel Abu Dhabi on Wednesday 6 November, will assess how different financial solutions can help unlock barriers to generate greater levels of activity, in addition to how the maritime and financial sectors can better work jointly, according to a press release on Thursday.
This year’s event will include a coverage of several new areas, including rail and road transportation, in response to feedback from the conference held last year.
“The Ship Finance and Trade conference has gone from strength to strength over the past few years, thanks to the tremendous support of industry professionals across the region, and in particular the encouragement and backing of Abu Dhabi Ports,” managing director Trevor Pereira commented.
He added, “We have decided to return to Abu Dhabi, but to a different venue, to access both the high-quality facilities and the capacity needed to keep pace with the requirements of attendees.”
